TDR soon began supplying fucd, the biggest commercial disc repair lab outside the US. With a demand for thousands of disc repairs every day, the original micron paper technology that they were using at the time soon revealed its disadvantages and the need for a better repair process emerged. Years of research and intensive development led to the invention and successful development of a new state-of-the-art single-stage polishing method.

This technique was implemented in the successful StarDisc range, a range of heavy-duty machines for professional high volume repair labs. These machines went through further improvement processes, eventually culminating in the very first machine suitable for retail-stores, the TDR Discus. Its unique one-stage one-button process finally eliminated the role of a full-time operator. Discs can now be repaired at the exact time needed, on location, while dramatically decreasing shipping, labor and consumables costs.

Technical development, however, did not stop with the TDR Discus. Further testing brought again new knowledge and ideas. The result is coming soon - a new generation of machines for high-volume output.
